I first became interested in zoology when my Headmaster in Year 6 took me out an English class (I was never good at English anyway), and took me up to the Malvern Hills to watch Peregrine Falcons – the fastest animal to have ever lived!
He not only showed me this breeding pair, but he also talked about the difficulties that these individuals were facing and challenges that the population was facing as well.
I only became aware that conservation was a pursuable career when I was 16 and looking for University options.
Marine biology sparked my interests at the end of my first year at the University of Exeter, following a 2 month volunteering placement with The Society for Protection of Turtles in Northern Cyprus.
I started out as an Undergraduate student hoping to become an ornithologist, but through experiences I have had and will be sharing on here, I have become ever more interested in other Natural Wonders!
I have since qualified as a teacher and have pursued career and leisure opportunities around the world, taking photos every step of the way!
I hope that you learn something from me, and perhaps a few of you will follow my footsteps.
